The mission of the Middle Valley Community Center (MVCC) is to preserve and enhance the Middle Valley Historic District, to provide educational and social activities for the public, and to maintain a gathering place for the community. MVCC owns and maintains the building, which is listed on the NJ Register of Historic Places. The community center is a focal point for MVCC activities and events.
The MVCC is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Center is dedicated to the principle and practice of community, neighborliness, mutual respect and maintaining a sense of place. The trustees work actively to maintain the character of our community and to preserve our historic building located on West Mill Road in the Middle Valley Historic District. MVCC has been a principal focus for the community, serving as post office and mercantile center. It has been the site of judicial, educational, religious, social and cultural activities spanning four centuries. Today, the Center continues as a cultural, educational and social meeting place for the Middle Valley community and the surrounding area.
The Middle Valley Cultural Center was created in 2020 as a subgroup to MVCC responsible for organizing regularly community centric and public programs dealing with the arts, including but not limited to music, published authors and the fine arts.
