Restoration work on the Middle Valley Community Center

The porch on this building existed before the bell tower was added in 1904. It was originally shingled but was replaced with a corrugated metal roof when time came to replace it, year unknown. The valley between the porch and tower is a very awkward space to work in and design wise is not ideal. A leak in the valley many years ago, caused structural failure and at one point (maybe when the metal roof was installed), a third porch support was added. During restoration, the porch was restored back to the pre-1924 configuration, as it may have appeared in 1904 when the tower was installed.
